Mission Statement

The Perry Township Road Department's primary purpose is to make all Township roads and right-of-ways safe for your travel. From time to time roads will be closed. These repairs are necessary in order to improve the quality of streets you’ve come to expect in Perry Township.

Help us to help you. The Road Department is aware of most of the trouble spots in the Township and work hard everyday to repair them safely and quickly, however the conditions of the roads are ever changing. Please call us and alert the Road Department to problems with the roads, ie, potholes, sinkholes, wash-outs, etc. at 330-832-7750 or e-mail us.

The Perry Township Road Department is responsible for maintaining, in excellent condition, the 136 miles that cover the boundaries of the Township. The department has twelve employees including the Superintendent, Administrative Assistant, Road Foreman and Mechanic. Our duties include Township Paving, Weed Control on our road right-of-ways, and installation of Storm Sewers, Catch Basins, and Driveway Culverts. In addition, the Road Department maintains the Township road signs. During the Winter season the Road Department is vigilante in keeping our roads cleared, being on call 24/7 for snow removal and control.

The Perry Road Department participates with other government entities to maintain or exceed compliance of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).

The Township Road Department is equipped with a variety of equipment including Snow Plows, Dump Trucks, Street Sweeper, Backhoe, and Front End Loader. Utilizing our equipment to keep Perry Roads Safe, and clean for our residents and visitors.
