If you received a parking ticket, please see the fine amounts listed below along with information on how to pay as well as how to contest the parking ticket:

Fines:
  • Fire station or fire lane-related parking violations: $100
  • Handicap accessible parking violation fine is $250
  • General parking violations: $75 
      • No parking, stopping or standing sign
      • On street during a snow ban
      • On sidewalk
      • Blocking driveway
      • In intersection or crosswalk
      • Within 20 feet of crosswalk at intersection 
      • Within 20 feet of crosswalk by a school during school hours
      • Within 10 feet of fire hydrant
      • Within 30 feet of flashing beacon stop sign or traffic control device
      • Within 50 feet of railroad crossing
      • Alongside any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge of a road
      • Alongside or opposite any street obstruction when parking would obstruct traffic
      • On a bridge or elevated roadway
      • Within one foot of another parked vehicle
      • In a park except for in designated parking areas or roads
      • Parked in the direction opposite of travel
      • On private property without the owner's consent
      • Any other place prohibited by the Ohio Revised Code

Late payments may result in additional penalties or referral to the Parking Violations Bureau.

To Contest the Parking Citation
You must make a request to contest in writing within 7 days:
  • Email: office@perrytwp.com with the subject: “Contest Parking Citation #” (include ticket number)
  • Submit in writing to: 3111 Hilton St. NW, Massillon, OH 44646 (include a copy of the ticket)
