Lisa Nelligan, Trustee

Lisa has been a resident of Perry Township for 26 years and proud to call Perry Township home.  She is married to her husband Tom, and have 4 wonderful children, Jacob, Cole, Jack and Grace who were born and raised in Perry Township.  All have graduated or will graduate from Perry  Local Schools.

Lisa graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s in Business Administration.  For the past 20 years, she has worked at Aultman Hospital in various leadership roles.  Currently she is the Executive Director of Centralized Business Office.  She has served our local community in various roles and responsibilities over the past 26 years.  Currently, she is a member of Perry Township Rotary and serves as the Treasurer and the Race Director for the Perry Rotary Turkey Trot.  She is on the Board of Directors for Meyers Lake YMCA and the Vet Center and is a member of the Perry History Club.  She volunteers for various groups such as Perry Helping Perry and Perry Local School Functions.

As a newly elected trustee, Lisa is looking forward to serving the Perry Township residents, businesses and employees with strategic focus, transparency, accountability, engagement, visibility and determination at building relationships at every level.

Matt Miller, Trustee

Matt has been a resident of Perry Township his entire life. He is a 2001 graduate of Perry Highschool. After high school Matt graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Math and Science Education. He later earned his Master’s degree in school counseling from the University of Akron. Matt has been an employee of Perry Local Schools since 2006. He worked as a science and math teacher, and currently holds a position as a school counselor at Perry Highschool.

Matt and his wife Melissa, who is a 2004 Perry graduate, have been married since 2010. They have three children; Evan, Lincoln, and Charlie who currently attend Perry local schools. Matt has served Perry as a baseball and football coach at various levels ranging from head varsity baseball coach to volunteering in our youth program.  He is also a member of Rivertree Christian Church where he attends with his wife and children. He is an active member at the McKinley Eagles and Meyers Lake Sportsman’s Club.

Matt is looking forward to the opportunity to work within township government, alongside community members and business owners, to move Perry forward while upholding the traditions we are all proud of.

Ralph DeChiara Jr., Trustee

We are pleased to introduce Ralph DeChiara as your newly elected official.  Ralph has been a lifelong resident of Perry Township.  He grew up in the Reedurban area while attending St. Joan of Arc Elementary School.  Ralph graduated from Perry High School in 1978 as a member of the National Honor Society.  He is also a graduate of the Stark County Paramedic Program, a graduate with honors from Stark State College, Phi Theta Kappa earning Associate Degrees in Fire Emergency Services and Emergency Medical Services.  Ralph is a graduate of the Stark County Government Leadership Academy and has served in various associations throughout his career.

Ralph has served our community well as a member of the Perry Township Fire Department for the past 34 years.  He is also employed full-time by the Jackson Township Fire Department, Fire Prevention Bureau for the past 13 years.

Ralph has been married to his lovely wife Sandi for 22 years, and they reside in West Manor.  They are both looking forward to being actively involved in our community, and are thankful to call Perry Township their home!

On November 03, 2015, the residents of Perry Township elected Ralph to a four year term on the board of trustees.  He views the trusteeship as yet another opportunity to serve our community.  Ralph takes his responsibilities as your trustee very seriously, and promises to fulfill the duties of office and serve our residents to the best of his ability.
