I have been in the fire service since 1986 after joining the Perry Township Fire Department as a volunteer while working full-time for Timken Company.
In 2003, due to my passion for the fire services, I left my career with the Timken Company and was hired as the Deputy Chief of Operations and the Director of Training for our department. As Deputy Chief, I oversaw the daily operations of our crews, and commanded incidents if necessary, among other Administrative duties. As the Director of Training, I oversaw and taught the department's fire and EMS training sessions. My devotion to teaching firefighters goes beyond our department. I have been instructing new firefighters, EMTs and paramedics, American Heart CPR students, and Fire Safety Inspectors since 2013 locally as an Adjunct Instructor.
In addition to multiple Fire and EMS certifications, I have an Associate's Degree in Fire Science and have completed the Ohio Fire Chief's Accreditation Program.
I am honored to be a lifelong resident of Perry Township, an alumnus of Perry High School, and your Fire Chief.
