NOTICE OF HEARING

This is to inform you that the Perry Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Regular Meeting at the Township Administration Office located at 3111 Hilton St. N.W., Massillon, Ohio on Monday evening, March 5th 2012 at 7:30 PM. The following Appeal Case(s) will be heard:

 

 

            CASE 01-12A – OSTER SAND & GRAVEL, INC. – 814 ORRVILLE ST. N.W., MASSILLON, OHIO 44647 PARCELS #47-00143, #47-00345, #47-00144,

#43-00124 AND #47-00283

Oster Sand & Gravel, Inc.  – 814 Whipple Ave NW, North Canton, Ohio 44720 has made application for a Conditional Use Permit to Surface Mining of 55.1 acres on the above listed parcels.  Surface mining is a conditionally permitted and must be approved or denied by the Perry Township Board of Zoning Appeals in an R-3 Single Family Duplex and Four Family Residential District. CASE 02-12A – HARLEY B. LARCH JR. – 5730 DARLETTA ST. S.W., NAVARRE, OHIO 44662, PARCEL #43-04020

Harley B. Larch Jr.  – 5730 Darletta St SW, Navarre, Ohio 44662 has made an application for a variance to construct a 30’ X 40’ X 16’ detached garage at the above stated address. The proposed garage is one thousand two hundred (1,200) sq. ft. When combined with existing accessory structures (attached garage and shed) on this property, the proposed garage exceeds the maximum square footage allowed for this size lot by six hundred sixty seven (667) square feet in an R-3 Single Family Duplex and Four Family Residential District. George Nikolaou (property owner) – 1715 Whipple Ave NW, Canton, Ohio 44708. Jeff Shipley – 1715 Whipple Ave NW, Canton, Ohio 44708 has made application for a Conditional Use Permit for an Adult Day Care/Vocational Program facility. Day care is a conditionally permitted and must be approved or denied by the Perry Township Board of Zoning Appeals in a B-1 Office / Retail / Business District.             CASE 04-12A – ADAMS SIGNS – 3750 LINCOLN WAY EAST., MASSILLON, OHIO 44646 PARCELS #43-01408

 

Waikem Properties (property owner) – 4321 Lincoln Way E, Massillon, Ohio 44646. Adams Signs (Shawna Rudersmith) – 1100 Industrial Ave SW, Massillon, Ohio 44647 has made application for a variance to install a 4’ 1 3/4” X 3’ 8 7/16” pole/monument style (free-standing) sign. The proposed sign will be the second KIA free standing sign where only one free standing sign is allowed in a B-2 Commercial District. [Section 801.7 B – Perry Township Zoning Resolution]

 

 

Applications are on file and available for your inspection at the Township Offices, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Failure of the applicant or his duly appointed representative to appear at the Public Hearing may be justification for the rejection of the Appeal.

Any and all other interested parties are urged to attend the Hearing to be advertised in the Massillon Independent on or before February 24, 2012.
